Olive & Oasis

This full renovation project was a true collaboration with a lovely South African family who entrusted me with transforming their apartment. From creating the building plans to designing a bold olive green kitchen, we reimagined the space into a modern, open-plan home. Every detail was carefully considered to combine functionality, style, and a sense of warmth — turning their apartment into a space they now love coming home to.

Olive Kitchen

My personal challenge here was planning a kitchen that accommodates two sinks, two ovens, and a washing machine, all within the same space.

Childrens bathroom

This bathroom was too crowded, and the original vanity was too big for the space, so we reduced the vanity size, added niches in the shower to make this bathroom a beautiful space

Parents ensuite shower

My client's legs hit the vanity while sitting on the toilet, so we had to abandon the idea of a closed vanity and opt for a floating sink with no cupboard. The storage space we put behind the toilet instead

Kitchen

We had to knock down some walls to give us enough space to fit all of the appliances into the kitchen but it looks beautifull and is very functional

Demolition

Demolition Day
Opening up walls always comes with surprises — and this project was no exception. During demolition, we discovered a load-bearing wall that wasn’t revealed in the building survey. This meant rethinking and adjusting the kitchen layout on the spot, turning a challenge into an opportunity for creative problem-solving.

Before the Transformation
This was the original kitchen — very old-fashioned and cramped, with no room to accommodate a kosher kitchen layout. Thankfully, that space is a thing of the past, and what came next is a modern, functional dream kitchen!
